Metro Vancouver has more couples in mixed unions per capita than virtually any city that is canadian.
Statistics Canada circulated a written report Tuesday showing 9.6 % of Metro Vancouvers partners are made of lovers from various cultural backgrounds.
Which means 51,375 partners away from 536,000 in Metro Vancouver have been in blended unions. Toronto gets the 2nd highest portion of partners in blended unions at 8.2 %.
Each decade across Canada the statistics agency said the proportion of inter-ethnic couples has “gradually increased” — at the rate of about one percentage point.
